Those who love Greek yogurt now find a lot of choice in supermarkets and discount stores. Altroconsumo compared 6 products (with 0% fat), awarding 2 brands in particular

But among the brands that we find in the supermarket, which ones offer the best value for money? An Altroconsumo test helps to guide us in the choice.
Greek yogurt is very creamy and less sweet than the traditional one, as nutritional characteristics instead we point out a greater share of carbohydrates and proteins.

They were taken as a sample 6 pots of Greek yogurt from different brands, all analyzed and judged on the basis of different parameters:
- Probiotics: L. bulgaricus and S. thermophilus, present at the expiration date.
- Sugars: the quantity was analyzed and compared with what is declared on the label
- Furosina: compound that is formed following the reaction between sugars and proteins during the heat treatment of milk
- Molds and yeasts: possibly present in the products
- Mycotoxins: possibly present in the products
- Net weight: to evaluate if it corresponded to that indicated on the package
- Acidity: expressed as lactic acid
- Label: to evaluate the presence of information required by law but also of optional information, useful to consumers
The ranking of Greek yogurt
In particular, 2 products are considered to be of very good quality and best of the test (and they are also at the top of the overall ranking compared to whole white yogurts, which we already talked about in a previous article, and which were part of the same comparison). - Milbona (Lidl) fat-free Greek yogurt - 75 points (Best buy)
Good quality instead the following products were considered:
- Fage Total 0% fat (68 points)
- Delta (Yomo) 0% Fat Authentic Greek Yogurt (67 points)
- Muller Greek Passion low-fat natural yogurt poured (65 points)
- Zorbas Yogreco 0% fat original organic Greek yogurt (65 points)
