Google is increasingly green and "renewable" is focusing on offshore wind in the Atlantic

The Mountain View giant is proving to be increasingly green-oriented: after having created a special division for renewables, invested in concentrated photovoltaics and focused on both wind and solar energy, also taking a look at the potential of our country, Google now focuses on the seas, in search of offshore wind, to build a wind farm off the US Atlantic coast.

The Mountain View giant proves itself more and more green-oriented: after creating a special division for renewables, invested in concentrating photovoltaics e aimed at both wind energy than on the solar one, also taking a look at the potential of our country, Google now focuses on the seas, in search of the vento offshore, to build a wind farm off the US Atlantic coast.

Reference point in the world of the new economy, Google has already paid out 38,8 million dollars for the construction of two wind farms in North Dakota and now has announced di wanting to finance with large sums of money (37,5% of total expenditure) the AWC, Atlantic Wind Connection, a pilot project that aims at the construction of a mega wind farm in the open sea, along a stretch beyond 560 kilometers from New Jersey to Virginia, in an area where the waters are deep enough to allow a wind installation and where the pale they will be located 15-20 kilometers from the coast.

Google has thus decided to strengthen its commitment to green energies which, in addition to improving the environmental condition, obviously also give important economic results.

The project will bring clean and renewable energy to approx two million American families and will bear fruit thanks to the power of the winds (regularly present in the area identified for the construction of the plant) and through theuse of submarine cables who will carry theelectric energy produced.
If all this works, the Atlantic Wind Connection will become the first US wind system on the high seas.

“We believe in investing in projects that have potential and are aimed at promoting renewable energy. - let Google know from his official blog - The commitment in wanting to be forerunners and in investing in large-scale innovative projects is the key to our success as a company ".
