    The news was announced by his human friend, Carlo Grossi, who lost his two young children, Anna and Franco, in the earthquake: it was Laga who found the bodies of the two boys by digging under the rubble.

    Despite the tragedy, Carlo and Laga continued to work together to rescue those who were still trapped under what remained of the collapsed buildings.
