A three-year-old pony was battered and injured to death. Now the charity that tried to save him is calling for justice
He is about to end up run over, his mother saves himBattered to death by some teenagers, now a charity asks for justice, for the poor pony found with blood clots all over his body in West Dublin. Yet another violence against animals that has no culprits so far.
Martina Kenny, co-founder of My Lovely Horse Rescue (MLHR), the body that made the news public, discovered Jenna, the gray pony just three years old, butchered and with injuries all over her body. According to an initial reconstruction, this violence was inflicted by a group of adolescents, evidently accustomed to having no respect for animals.
Jenna was taken to the MLHR with the hope of being saved, but there was nothing for her to do as the situation was very serious. The pony was spotted in Adamstown, near the Grand Canal, by a walking man who texted the MLHR Saturday night for help. Volunteers struggled to find the animal because it was dark and not too accessible.

“He was weak, very weak indeed. He had his head down. The crazy thing was that his face was swollen, his body had lumps and bumps, not cuts but lumps. The vet said she was badly beaten, ”explained Martina Kenny.
Who could have done such a horrible gesture?
The person who raised the alarm witnessed the assault and “said that a little boy was on the pony's back and was very violent with her. Another older one, about 15 or 16 years old, approached her instead with some object in his hand, and started hitting her on the back and on the side of her ”, continues the volunteer who is now asking for justice.

“We want the culprits of all this. Authorities are viewing CCTV cameras. Witnesses came forward and saw Jenna being beaten for the past 2 weeks.
Anyone have videos or photos? We want judicial processes, we want justice. This innocent pony was only 3 years old and knew nothing but cruelty until his last day! ”.
