Monsanto. Synonym of GM. And of damage. Up until now, they had never shown that on health, but they pointed the finger above all on the economic damage to farmers and biodiversity. However, today comes a new study published in the International Journal of Biological Sciences which would highlight as the infamous GMO corn produced by the multinational it would be harmful to the health of mammals, therefore also to humans.

According to the study, illustrated by Rady Ananda on Food Freedom and reported byHuffington Post, there are three varieties of more GMOapproved for consumption in the United States, Europe and many other countries: the Mon863, il Mon810 and the NK603. And all of them would do great damage to our organs.

A pass that caused a lot of discussion given that the member states of the European Union had for some time been opposed to their introduction. Even in the USA, United States Department of Agriculture gave the okay for the introduction of a variety of Drought tolerant GMO corn (MY 87460).

But Monsanto defends itself against the accusations, swearing and perjuring that corn is safe and therefore destined for consumption.

But the experts who took care of the study, and in particular the first author of the research Gilles-Eric Séralini, they replied: "The effects were mostly concentrated in the renal and hepatic functions, the two main detoxification organs, but in detail they differed for each type of GMO."

But in some cases, heart and spleen disorders had also emerged and they have no doubt: “Our data strongly suggest that these GM maize varieties induce a state of hepatorenal toxicity. These substances have never been an integral part of the human or animal diet and therefore their consequences on health for those who consume them, especially in the long term, are currently unknown ".
