    Look at life with courage, trying to improve its quality. This was the motto of Kylie Simonds, who lives with her parents and siblings in Naugatuck, Connecticut. She was only eight when she was diagnosed with a rabdomiosarcoma, a rare form of cancer that affects connective tissues.

    From 2012, I began to undergo exhausting cycles of chemotherapy, radiotherapy and surgery to overcome the disease. To accompany her, in addition to malaise and weakness, also the fear and regret of not being able to have a normal life.

    In February of that year, Kylie finally completed her 46 weeks of chemotherapy. The analyzes confirmed that her illness had been defeated but in the meantime her little girl had already been busy.

    Her dream is to become one stylist. Combining her passion for fashion with the needs of a child who has to live with chemo, Kylie has designed a special easily transportable backpack, not much different from those used to go to school but containing everything you need for chemo and transfusions. The bag is also available with various designs and colors.


    With her idea, the little girl won over four awards but his desire to do didn't stop there. Thanks to a crowdfunding campaign su Gofundme, Kylie is hard at work to collect 50mila U.S. dollars intended for the production of the backpack. A figure that will be largely exceeded.


    But the little girl has clear ideas. The funds will also be used to donate a portion of any backpacks sales to the Childhood Cancer Research & Support and to numerous hospitals in the United States.
