Where the germs and bacteria present in our homes? Many of them can stay for weeks in truly unthinkable places that some of us probably never would have considered. Sarah Humphreys, chief editor of Real Simple Magazine, unveiled a Today the points of the house most affected by the presence of germs.
In first place, as regards the kitchen, we find the coffee maker. In his opinion, we can clean the filters, but the deposits of water and mineral salts would represent the ideal place for the formation of bacteria. That is why a deeper cleaning of this appliance should be carried out more often. In the kitchen we also find the food bowl for the pets and the cooker knobs, on which grease and dirt accumulate. The recommendation is to wash these items more often.
As for the bathroom, the dirtiest places are indicated walls next to the toilet, the toothbrush container and the bathroom mat. So let's not forget to wash the mat often, to clean the tiles well and to carefully rinse the glass where we put the toothbrush, when we take care of cleaning the bathroom.
In the living room, among the most unusual places where bacteria lurk, here is the remote control and switches to turn the light on and off. According to Humphreys, the remote control would be much dirtier than the handle for flushing the toilet. Let's not forget, therefore, to properly clean all the objects that are in our home, including electronic gadgets.
Here is the complete standings of the dirtiest objects and spots in the house:
Bathroom
1) Mat
2) Walls close to the toilet
3) Toothbrush holder
Kitchen
