From the Politecnico di Milano comes the smart mask that tells you what air you breathe

Narvalo is the name of the intelligent mask created in Milan useful not only against the new coronavirus, but also against smog and bacteria.

It is capable of providing, via an app, a very detailed picture of the quality of the air we breathe: it is the FFP3 anti-smog and anti-virus protective smart mask that communicates with the smartphone developed by the Politecnico di Milano.

Is called Narwhal and is useful not only against the new coronavirus, but also against smog and bacteria: made of breathable, washable, water-repellent and tear-resistant 3D fabric, in fact, this new 100% Made in Italy mask promises to filter 99,9% of pollutants , as well as viruses, dust and odors, thanks to the activated carbon layer.

All this is possible via the app, available for iOS and Android, which, thanks to the GPS of the smartphone, is able to give a very clear picture of the quality of the air breathed during one's journey.

The result of the creativity of a spin-off startup of the Politecnico di Milano, the device - also designed for those who want to move around by bike or scooter - is able to monitor the surrounding air quality and therefore filter almost 100% of the pollutants.

Its peculiarity is an exhalation valve that facilitates the outflow of air and thus avoids excessive accumulations of heat and humidity inside. In addition, in the Narvalo Urban Mask package there is a "anti-Covid" cap which, once applied, blocks the escape of droplets even during exhalation.

It will be available in 6 colors and can already be booked on the website. The release of the "Active" version of the mask is also planned for the end of the year, complete with an electronic valve equipped with an intelligent extraction fan and sensors on board.
