even the recycling will have its "stamp". With the aim of achieving a more sustainable model of production and consumption that takes into consideration the entire life cycle of products, from their production to their disposal, finally fromICEA comes the first “Standard for the certification of products made with recycled materials”.

If for i cosmetics, forests, building, agriculture and last but not least wellness centers and SPAs the criteria that guarantee and allow to certify a product as organic, as efficient or in any case made respecting certain parameters are now widespread, from today it will be possible to objectively recognize the products resulting from recycling.

Conceived and developed to establish the importance of recycling, to reduce the consumption of resources (raw materials, water and energy), to increase quality of recycled products, this standard is applicable to all sectors: from textiles to packaging, from materials for green building to products for furniture, publications, etc.

From ICEA, the first Standard for the certification of recycled products

The evaluation that extends to the entire life cycle of the product is based on the methodology Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), through which the flows of matter and energy analyzed and identified along thespan of the entire life cycle of the product are sorted, classified and aggregated into different categories of environmental impact, technically called iaggregate impact indicators.

Operating on three levels - consumption reduction of natural resources, increase ofenergy efficiency and reduction of the flow of waste destined for disposal, recycling is therefore a very important lever for the effective realization of a more sustainable development. This certification therefore wants to be an incentive both for companies, adding value to those products that make recycling the main component, and for consumers who can finally have the certainty of contributing with their purchase to not waste further resources.
