Il creative recycling we know it well, it is now an art. And as such, it now has its own museum where everyone can showcase their creations, born from the recovery of materials. Ecolight, one of the largest consortia for the management of Weee (recycling of electronic waste), thus launched the Museum Recycling, a virtual space that collects objects and installations made with waste (electronic and otherwise), a showcase open to all both to admire and to present the small great works resulting from the art of recycling.
As you can read about the mission of the project “The Museum aims to collect testimonials of those who, through an idea, they give new life to the objects to be thrown away. The result can be a painting or a 'installation, for an design object or a musical instrument, or even one jersey to wear. Creativity does not seem to know limits when it comes to reinventing an object destined for landfill: between provocations, furnishing solutions and real works of art, 'recycling' finds space in many forms and results ".
And it is with this philosophy that in this space divided into five sections, various works of over thirty artists and creatives are exhibited and presented recycle waste to compose their productions and for which recycling them is useful for the environment and at the same time it is very decorative. Art, Designn, Architecture, Fashion e Music: these are the categories in which the site is divided and in which we found "our old" acquaintances, such as instruments of the Recycled Musical Circus, eco t-shirt by Alessandro Acerra or Key bags by Joao Sabino. United by the lowest common denominator of recycling and resemantization of old things.
The "Lucetrice"of Camillo Fiore, a lamp that comes from recycling of electronic boards used for the production of washing machines which, if thrown between municipal waste, are highly polluting because they have a high content of lead. The work participated in the first edition of the international painting and design award "Waste in search of an Author", promoted by Salerno in Arte, winning the first prize of the Design Section.
According to what the president of Ecolight said Walter Camarda referring to the launch of the virtual museum, “Let's create a cleaner world, waste takes on new life and becomes art. The experience we have gained in the management of waste from electrical and electronic equipment is the basis of this project. Weee is not only the responsibility of producers and importers, and consequently of the consortia that were born from these companies, but of everyone. In fact, taking care of the environment passes through attentions that everyone can and must adopt " Museum of Recycling was therefore created to raise public awareness of environmental issues, "a window to approach a universe that is in constant and full development" as Giancarlo Dezio, Ecolight's general manager argues, because "recycling, as a good practice, is a form of art capable of teaching to respect the environment more ".
