To give the news was the same Esselunga who warned via email registered users and who has exhibited the playbill relating to the recall of the product, with useful information indicated.
In particular, the basil sauce contained in glass jars of 400 grams characterized by the number of lot L104S and with expires in April 2018 (lot withdrawn: L104S with TMC 04/2018).
According to the company, the reason for the recall is the possible presence of glass inside the sauce, produced by the company Delfino SpA of Acerra (NA).
Esselunga invites those who have purchased the product not to consume it and to return it to the store to obtain an exchange or refund. It also made available the toll free 800 666 555 Esselunga customer service for more information. We have tried several times to call to find out more but it was not possible to speak to any operator.
The press office confirmed to us, however, that the notice was issued only via e-mail and with a poster at the points of sale.
