Fifth Conto Energia: the hypothesis of cutting incentives is getting closer and closer

The preparation of the final draft on the Fifth Energy Account should not be far off

He is about to end up run over, his mother saves him

Fifth energy account. If until yesterday there was talk of the ultimatum "granted" by the governing Energy Authority, a month of time that "could be used by the decision makers of energy policies to make the best choices", today it seems that the new system of incentives for the PV be closer.

The provisions of the draft is similar to the final document which should govern the investments to be allocated to PV. In summary, they should benefit above all from small plants, but also the new plants, those hybrids and the plants envisaged by the conversion projects of the sugar beet sector. In addition, the incentives for photovoltaics could also be extended to plants that undergo a strengthening or a renovation. It will also be established by the Energy Services Manager a record of power plants equal to or greater than 3 KW.

News also confirmed by Minister Clini, that a few days ago he announced that there would be no surprise for the photovoltaic sector and that the revision of the incentive system would first of all favor small plants for domestic and industrial self-consumption, at the same time favoring "the integration of solar energy with energy efficiency and supporting the itechnological innovation".

We now await the official confirmation by the Government. But there is a fear of the reaction of the trade associations that from the beginning have frowned upon the alleged cuts to photovoltaics provided for by the Fifth Energy Account and have already expressed their dissent in Piazza Montecitorio. Solar Energy Action together with Ecologists, Civics and Greens, protested against "the attack on renewables". According to the associations, "the Government would like to change, with the V Conto Energia, once again the whole legislative framework linked to the new renewable energy sources for the umpteenth time, effectively eliminating it, when these are one step away from industrial maturity and not randomly, putting businesses, workers and investments at risk ".

But Clini seems to have already made up his mind, also following the example of others world economies: "The revision of the incentives must ensure the future of photovoltaics in our country and more generally of solar energy, because it is one of the leading sectors of technological innovation at a global level and one of the sectors that countries such as China are aiming for a lot , the United States, Korea and some European countries such as Germany, because we are moving towards a technological evolution that should lead to an increase in the efficiency of photovoltaic modules in the space of a few years ".
