Losing pounds quickly and without great effort is a bit of everyone's dream, especially in view of the summer or after holiday periods in which food has been overdone.
Among the quick diets available there is also that of the evening fast which promises to lose about 3 kg in two weeks. It must be said, however, that it may not be exactly easy to follow it as it requires some effort in the last part of the day and before going to sleep.
Evening fasting diet, how it works
Remember the famous saying "king's breakfast, prince's lunch and poor man's dinner", well this diet takes it a little too literally. According to the evening fasting diet, in fact, starting from 17 pm every day solid foods should no longer be consumed.
After the two main meals, to be done in the first part of the day, and the necessary snacks, it is advisable for those who follow this diet to take only liquid foods such as herbal teas and teas of various kinds.
It is therefore a decidedly severe weight loss solution that is not suitable for everyone and which in any case cannot be carried out for more than two weeks.
In fact, it only allows you to eat in the first part of the day when, thanks to the activities we perform and our metabolism, we are able to burn more calories. On the other hand, in the late afternoon and evening, caloric intake is reduced to almost zero, when less is consumed.
This diet promises in just two weeks:

Diet of evening fasting, what to eat
As already mentioned, this diet allows you to eat more or less normally (always paying attention to the quantity of food and the calories included) until the afternoon after which you can only satiate by drinking herbal teas.
Breakfast must be made with low-fat yogurt or skimmed milk, whole grains and fresh fruit while for lunch, since it must be very substantial, you can eat:
- meat, wholemeal bread, grilled vegetables and fruit
- fish with boiled potatoes (200 grams) and fruit
- omelette with two eggs or cheese with cooked vegetables, wholemeal bread and fruit
- rice with vegetables or ravioli with oil and parmesan, salad and fruit
Mid-morning and early afternoon snacks can be made with yogurt and muesli, fruit smoothie (also using half a liter of cow's milk or plant-based milk if needed) or dried fruit. But more substantial snacks are also allowed such as a slice of wholemeal bread or directly a wholemeal sandwich with cream cheese or lean meats. This is because then dinner will be skipped and it is necessary to avoid going hungry.
However, starting from 17pm, only herbal teas can be consumed strictly. The most recommended are:
- Herbal tea with fennel
- Red fruits
- Green tea (not before bedtime)

Obviously, a diet like this is not feasible for everyone, especially if there are previous pathologies or if you are taking drugs. It is in fact a difficult diet to follow, especially in the last part of the day when you might feel a sense of hunger.
