Exposure to electromagnetic fields, how to reduce it in your home? Recently the Francia recognized for the first time on a national basis a case of disability due to allergy to electromagnetic waves.

Unless we live in a pristine environment, we are all more or less regularly exposed to electromagnetic fields, in our home or at work. We think above all of the electromagnetic waves related to Wi-Fi, smartphones, televisions and other electronic items.

Perhaps not everyone knows that the International Agency for Research on Cancer classifies radio frequency electromagnetic fields together with substances that could be carcinogenic to humans, such as lead, petrol and DDT. In short, the issue of electromagnetic waves should not be underestimated and if avoiding exposure is impossible, at least we can try to reduce it in our home.

Science has not yet precisely determined the effects of exposure to electromagnetic fields on humans and the most effective protective measures, so the advice that we list below is simply dictated by common sense.

In the most sensitive subjects exposure to electromagnetic fields can cause tiredness, weakness, anxiety, depression, memory problems, insomnia, nausea, lack of concentration, headache and confusion. The tools that expose us most to electromagnetic fields are the cellular, computer and microwave.

To improve our quality of life in the home and encourage our well-being, just take into consideration some simple tricks che we can try to put into practice right away.

phones

We do not carry our mobile phones in our pockets and we use earphones when we talk on the phone. We connect the Wi-Fi and the Bluetooth only when it is really needed. Let's make sure that children do not use cell phones, as they are among the subjects most exposed to the potential negative effects of electromagnetic waves.

Appliances

The oven, microwave, kettle, induction cooker and other household appliances they shouldn't be close to the wall which, on the opposite side, is near the headboard. television or other screens to one distance of at least one meter and place the clock radio as far away from the headboard as possible. Better not to use your cell phone as an alarm clock and not to leave it on your bedside table overnight.

Antennas and cables

Before buying a new home or moving to your future home or office, make sure it is not really very close to antennas, repeaters for telecommunications, power line towers or other large sources of electromagnetic fields.

Ventilation and materials

Try to improve the environment in which you live by remembering to air the rooms often and taking care of the choice of materials that are as natural as possible. Humidifiers and ionizers, in particular, can help improve the quality of the environment.

Wi-Fi

Try to limit exposure to Wi-Fi networks at least in your home. In particular, always turn off computers, modems and cell phones when not in use and during the night. If you can, use a common cable for internet connection for your home computer instead of Wi-Fi. You may also find that your internet connection will be more stable this way. The first rule is always to switch off and disconnect any electronic device from the mains when not in use.

Prevent and repair damage

Completely avoiding exposure to electromagnetic fields in the world we live in is, as already mentioned, practically impossible, but our body intuitively knows what it needs to feel better and to escape from this technological overdose.

We all feel much better when we escape from our home, from everyday life in the city and from our work environment, perhaps hyper-technological, and immerse ourselves in nature. The advice to regenerate the body is therefore to walking in the green and in contact with natural environments.

For example, when we have the chance, we walk barefoot on the beach, on a lawn or in a park. To feel better, we should do it for ten minutes every day. So, especially if we spend a lot of time on the computer or cell phone, as soon as we can we reach the green space closest to us.
