If you also want to try your hand at the toilet with alternative remedies and do-it-yourself detergents, the first element that for the toilet cleansing can run to the rescue ensuring, as always, the excellent combination of cleanliness and eco-sustainability, is the bicarbonate. In addition to its cleansing and sanitizing function, it is also effective in neutralize odors. For this reason, using it by pouring it onto the "toilet brush" could be a very winning move. Another valid alternative can be pure vinegar diluted in very hot water. Pouring it, too, on the toilet brush can help degrease and sanitize. Lemon juice can also be used for killing bacteria and when mixed with vinegar it can further enhance the effect.

At this point, spray it on the bathroom fixtures and on all smooth surfaces: the result is guaranteed! L'olio tea tree, for those unfamiliar with it, it is a powerful anti-fungus and is readily available in many pharmacies and herbalists.

The last piece of advice we give you is to do not overdo purchases of rags or in the excessive use of paper or paper towels. Reuse and recycle, throwing away your pieces only when they are really and irremediably worn.
