"It was a hot day in June 2011, we were on Lake Bilancino to participate in a market of handicrafts, the heat was so much and people found it hard to move from the lake to look at the stalls, we were bored and between a chat and the other we got into the head of transform old scratched and unlistenable vinyl records, who were in the car to be taken to rubbish dump, in a very special handbag. Among the tools we had brought with us were a drill, embroidery thread, and some leather. And here in a few hours we have made the first bag YaMa – they tell Yaya and Maura, the creators of this new eco-fashion accessories brand - At that point the records no longer ended up in a landfill but the idea took off: use fabrics, leathers and anything else that lies unused in the house to produce original accessories".

And this is how the original YaMa bags Classic were born, the alternative YaMaSound cd holders, the comfortable YaMaMusic headphone holders, the very useful YaMaLady beauty cases and the refined but also trendy YaMaDandy shoulder bags, all rigorously handmade by inseparable friends, recycling old 33 and 45 rpm and combining them with waste materials from the manufacturing leather and eco-leather.

But not only that, in fact, over time the two girls have refined their collection re-giving life to old clothing from which they recovered the tissues such as the Jeans or velvet, and old bags using accessories such as zips and shoulder straps.
