DimaniDomani is a brand that produces eco-ethical clothing for children deeply rooted in the territory of the province of Florence that creates clothes like works of art by recovering and recycling the pieces of the past to project them into the future

Don't store avocado like this: it's dangerous

The concept of artistic unity, the rejection of the soulless industrial product and enhancement of manual work, constitute the central point of a new revolutionary program. It doesn't have to exist difference between artist and craftsmanindeed, the person gifted with artistic talent must create his work according to a complete one interdependence between material and technique. All this is DimaniDomani, an avant-garde brand that places attention to detail and the exclusivity of the garment as a must, all with a lucid and attentive eye to environmental sustainability.

An eco fashion that revolutionizes the way of thinking of consumers, therefore, where uniqueness and quality find harmony in a constant struggle between nature and the future. The project that involves Calenzano and the entire Parco della Piana up to Prato (Fi), aims to create a link to the important supply chain of local artifacts. The driving force of the company, understood as a research laboratory, is accuracy female labor of seamstresses and great embroiderers, often excluded from working realities.

The brand's ambition is to put an all-round project to good use that, starting from the earth, invest more arts combined with an artisanal result. From the initial idea, expressions such as the birth of a dress, a painting, a piece of furniture and so on have developed where the innovative element is the link between functions divided today (fashion-crafts-education-art-architecture), always returning to the materiality of the hands.

After the great success and lively interest on the part of buyers and onlookers at Pitti Bambino in 2008, the brand reconfirmed its presence in the 2010 edition last January in the ecoethic section to present the New collection "Like Autumn leaves"By Eppy. The color and natural fabrics complement each other with the crochet applications, the warmth of wool, pure silk, shantung combined with synthetic support materials such as bows and lace. Each dress seemed to come out of a book, like a poem to be read endlessly.

“As the name says, very strong presence of autumn colors, from dark reds tending to grape pomace and purple, to burnt sienna and brick that recall dry leaves, up to the different shades of green that refer to olive trees and freshly pressed oil. All for one comfortable baby clothing concept, which shuns series production as a 'leap into the past' ". These are the words of Elena Palchetti, interior designer, stylist, painter and soul of the artisan clothing company.

Significant was the choice not to recruit professionals for the show, on stage simple little girls, without shoes, who paraded without the typical "catwalk setting" among the people seated on sofas enlivened by country music, composed especially for the fashion show. The made in Florence company is already at work in view of a future pour femme collection with unique garments ranging from a double-use poncho-skirt, to vests, perforated shawls, natural ecological cloth overcoats, made on the base canvas in natural linen, silk, cotton or wool fabric, on which original embroideries are carried out, remade crochet hooks, laces from yesterday or today. As if the "emptying", instead of crowding, presents the manifestation of a knowledge and a flavor refined by the centuries, lost in time and regained in the present.
