The next generations of environmentalists will grow into one off-grid ecological school, with wooden classrooms, green roofs and rainwater collection systems. A new didactic space of UK it was designed precisely to give a change to the classic school structures, for a greater respect for the environment.

The project is called Eco Classroom. It is an off-grid school, i.e. not connected to the electricity grid, which collects the necessary energy thanks to solar panels. The location surrounded by greenery guarantees an unmissable experience, in direct contact with nature. Let's think about how many hours children spend at school without the opportunity to spend at least the interval outdoors.

The new structure is part of the Down School, which is located in Kent in a centuries-old wood. It is one of the new jewels among self-sufficient buildings of the United Kingdom. According to its designers, it is the first British building to be able to transform rainwater into drinking water hot or cold only thanks to a green roof and solar energy. As you will understand, the construction is independent from the aqueduct, also due to its remote location.

Eco Classroom is equipped with ecological toilets, which allow composting. Reverse osmosis systems and UV treatments are used to purify and filter rainwater. FSC timber was used for the construction.

From the building you can enjoy a wonderful natural panorama, which will be perfect for students who, within the ecological school, will dedicate themselves to studies in the field of biology and geography. Eco Classroom will be above all a sustainability education workshop and respect for the environment from an early age.
