E-cat: clones to the rescue, but Rossi's cold fusion is already at 50.000 pre-orders

As Chan Releases New Information About Their DIY E-Cat, Defkalion Greeks Open Doors For Independent Testing

He is about to end up run over, his mother saves him

E-Cat, from the Greeks of the Defkalion a Chan, is a rush to the clones of the catalyst based on the cold fusion. The creation of Andrea Rossi does not seem to give peace to fans and competitors, former collaborators as in the case of the Greeks. Rossi's rivals, however, aim to open their knowledge and the progress made with their research to the public.

Yesterday it was the turn of Chan, an old acquaintance of ours, who has been trying for months now replicate the operation of the E-Cat. In November, the user announced on Buildecat.com the methods and results achieved with his experiment, the so-called Formula Chan. It would be a kind of clone dell’E-Cat but in an open source version, if you like, since the mysterious Chan would have made known his recipe forE-Cat do-it-yourself on the Web. Now, at its premiere formula, the Japanese would add new details.

To the first formula, dating back to 21 November last, the Japanese would have added new details useful for creating a device capable of producing 10 MW of energy. What do you need? According to what is reported by EcatWorld and on Chan Fusion Power, would serve: a steel container filled with oil, electrically heated to 100 C with 10 stacked plates, which would act as the core of the reactor, 10 1000 kW cartridges housed inside the container, water at room temperature then heated up to at 100 C.

But, as we said, he is not the only one who wants to propose one own version of the E-Cat. Which for the Greeks, Rossi's former allies is called Hyperion. And even in neighboring Greece, things seem to have taken the right turn (or perhaps a bad turn for Rossi). In a statement, Praxen Defkalion Green Technologies (PDGT) announced that it is ready to further allow third parties to evaluate its underlying technology.

And the Greeks play hard. Already in a precedent statement, dating back to the end of November, Defkalion said it was ready to market its own E-cat by 2012. In addition to the sale of the Hyperion, not even two months ago, three other promises followed:

    1. Agreements with companies for the granting of exclusive licenses depending on the country / territory.

    2. Tests performed by independent third parties for scientific purposes.

    3. Joint venture with new companies for the niche market.

It therefore seems that Defkalion is ready to follow the words Facts. And Rossi? Worried about stiff competition? It does not seem, given that in the Journal, responding to a request from a user, gives some figures on E-Cat bookings: “So far we have received about 50.000 pre-orders which is not bad for a product that has yet to be described in detail. Our target of 10.000 was quickly burned out. " Better than expected.

And the engineer says that it will take 18 months to process all orders starting from now.
