E-cat: After the test, doubts still remain about cold fusion

Curiosity continues to grow about the outcome of the experiment that could demonstrate the correct functionality of the E-Cat

He is about to end up run over, his mother saves him

In the aftermath of the closed door test on cold fusion, carried out near Bologna, we try to find out more. Really theE-Cat will it be the solution to all evils, at least from an energy point of view? We ask this in many.

Last 28 October meanwhile, it seems that the experiment has been successful, convincing the mysterious US buyer, represented by the engineer Domenico Fioravanti, despite a technical problem that forced the E-Cat to work at mid-speed. This was also assured by Daniele Passerini, the only blogger authorized to assist.

The result is summarized in these figures: 2,635 kWh for an average power of approx 470 kW in five hours. But they remain still many doubts. What is it for example the secret ingredient?

Valerio Rossi Albertini, nuclear physicist of the Cnr, to the microphones of TG2 (forced to stay out having been sold the exclusive to the AP) he explained that despite that of the realization of the cold fusion it could be great news, we need to be careful: “It's too early to say you believe it or not. In the absence of certain data, a scientist cannot be pronounced. Surely there is some experimental evidence in the last 20 years, phenomena are occurring that are usually classified as cold fusion and that go a little beyond the canonical orthodox theories".

According to the expert of the National Research Council "if it were true it would be the mother of all energy revolutions because we would have low cost energy with an almost unlimited availability".

Meanwhile, Rossi replies on the blog of Journal of nuclear Physics continuing to hide behind the industrial secret.
