A statement that almost makes you smile given Trump's interests, which certainly collide with renewables.
“If you have a wind turbine near your house, congratulations, your house has dropped 75% in value. And they say that noise causes cancer ”are her words.
Trump did not provide any factual evidence for this claim, but added that birds don't like noise and added:
"If you loved birds, you would never want to walk under a wind turbine again."
Donald Trump has renewed his attack on wind energy. The president, who does not recognize climate change and is firmly opposed to the energy produced by the wind. He has been doing it for some time. He has often openly criticized renewable technology, praising coal and other traditional fossil fuels. And it is not surprising given that his economic interests fall in this sector.
In fact, there is no evidence that wind turbine noise causes cancer. Various anti-wind groups have wrongly claimed that low-frequency noise, so-called infrasound, emitted by turbines can cause health problems including nausea, sleep loss and anxiety, but no research has ever shown that the damage comes from such low frequencies, and no cancers have been linked to high noise levels.
A completely different story for the chemicals and particulates released during the extraction, storage, transport and combustion of coal and other fossil fuels, associated with higher rates of cancer.
Trump also seems to care about the health of birds:

He is also wrong about birds: as amply demonstrated, among the main causes of bird mortality there are impacts with vehicles and buildings, cats, power lines, pesticides. And the turbines are only in an infinitesimal part, which fortunately are becoming more and more bird friendly.
Despite continued opposition from Trump, the wind energy industry in the United States is growing. According to theAmerican Wind Energy Association, the sector boasts over 100.000 jobs in 2017 and provided 6,3% of the national energy. According to theEnergy Information Association, wind is in the process of overtaking hydroelectricity by becoming the largest renewable energy source in the country by 2019.
