Domestic workers can also work in the red zone, as long as they are equipped with regular contract and self-declaration, provided by the Ministry of the Interior (and downloadable here).

The answer is also a specific government Faq which reads:

“Is dog sitting allowed by the Dpcm? Yes, since it is a work activity similar to that of domestic collaboration ".

How to do it, therefore, if you need to resort to a babysitter to look after small children, help for the children involved in the dad, while you work or help at home or with the dog, it is possible to regularize the collaborator also through a occasional collaboration, which can be activated with the "family booklet".

How the family book works

This is a pre-financed registered booklet, made up of payment instruments, whose nominal value is equal to 10 euros. This amount is intended to compensate for work lasting no more than one hour. As INPS explains, it can be purchased through payments via F24 Elide model, with the purpose of LIFA, or via the "Payment Portal".

To use the family booklet, both the user and the lender must register on the platform through the dedicated online service.

The user must communicate, at the end of the work performance, the following data:

  • the identification data of the provider
  • the agreed fee
  • the place of performance of the service
  • duration
  • the scope of performance.
  • Together with the transmission of the communication by the user, the service provider (the babysitter) receives a notification via email or SMS.

The activities that the user can remunerate through the family book are strictly indicated by law and consist of:

  • minor housework, including gardening, cleaning or maintenance;
  • home care for children and the elderly, sick or disabled;
  • additional private tuition.

In this way, not only the lender is protected, but also the employer.

Stop, therefore, to illegal work, a great plague that afflicts our country, and strongly the sector of domestic collaborations. In short, the restriction on displacements risks having an (indirect) effect on contrasting the submerged.

Obviously… you have to wear a mask!
