DIY plants from recycled cardboard

Do you have any cardboard boxes aside? Don't throw it away, reuse it to make lovely houseplants. Like the following cactus.

The House that Lars built tells you how to proceed. First you will need:

  • Cardboard
  • Acrylic paint
  • Markers
  • Rice
  • Clay pots of various sizes
  • Cactus templates (you can download it on their blog)
  • Scissors
  • Belt Size

Print the cactus templates, cut them out and trace the shapes onto the cardboard.

Cut out the cacti with scissors and paint them.

Once dry, you can further customize them with markers.

All you have to do is fill the jars with rice and insert them. Instead of rice you can also use coffee beans, corn or whatever.

Alternatively, you can draw simple leaves on the cardboard, paint them and place them in the vases. The ideal is to alternate different shades of green.
