According to experts, many people could find themselves using this product out of habit, without having the real need. There answer lies in the genes. Scientists have indeed found out how 1 person on 50 has a genetic variant capable of determining one odorless sweating.

Il gene ABCC11, when present in an inactive manner, it would not allow our glands to generate bad smells. According to the experts ofUniversity of Bristol8 out of 10 people regularly use deodorant, but some of them may not need it. The research was published in the pages of the scientific journal Journal of Investigative Dermatology.

There is, however, an unpleasant downside. According to the data collected by experts, 1/5 of women would not use deodorant, even if they really need it. On the other hand, over 70% of women would use this product without having to, out of habit or fear of giving off bad smells, although, without knowing it, they are carriers of the genetic variant capable of making sweat odorless.

In order not to use chemical products that could be aggressive on some of the most delicate areas of our body, it might be useful to know if we find ourselves among the lucky ones whose sweat does not give off annoying odors, so you can choose to say goodbye to the deodorant or turn to a more delicate product.
