    Here's how to make your own do-it-yourself home fragrances with essential oils.

    You will need:

    250 ml of water

    Gelatin in powder form, in sheets or agar agar

    1 teaspoon salt

    25 drops of essential oils of your choice

    Food coloring (optional)

    Flowers to decorate (optional)

    Heat resistant glass jars

    Lids with holes

    Preparation

    Keep in mind that the amount of gelatin powder, gelatin sheets or agar agar to be used may vary according to the amount of water used in the recipe and the instructions on the packaging of the jellies.

    Also keep in mind that usually to gel 500 ml of water 9 g of powdered gelatin or 5 g of agar agar or 6 sheets of gelatin are used. Agar agar is a vegetable and natural gelatin obtained from algae.

    1) Pour the water into a saucepan and heat it. Add the salt and stir to dissolve it.

    2) Add the gelatin or agar agar following the instructions on the packaging and mix well continuously keeping the saucepan on the stove for about 2 minutes or in any case until the gelatin has dissolved and distributed and always according to the instructions.

    3) Remember that the mixture will become gelatinous when it has cooled down.

    4) Pour everything into the glass jars of your choice, adding to the mixture before it cools and congeals the essential oils you prefer to perfume and if you want also fake flowers or other decorative elements e a few drops of food coloring.


    5) Let it cool completely and close the jars with pierced lids. These natural perfumers they last for 2 or 3 months at the most, then the scent fades and the jelly is ruined and can become moldy. From time to time, therefore, you can remove the old jelly and prepare new perfumers by reusing the same jars.


    Among essential oils you could use, even choosing two or three oils in combination, we find essential oil of sweet orange, lemon, lavender, eucalyptus, lemongrass, mandarin, grapefruit, but you can still follow your tastes for the choice of fragrance. The important thing is that they are natural essential oils.
