    What would the Disney classics if they were directed by Tim Burton? The answer lies in the illustrations by Andrew Tarusov, a Russian graphic designer transplanted to Los Angeles.





    I tried to imagine the characters of our favorite childhood cartoons, drawing them with the eyes of the great American director and illustrator, he writes Tarusov on his site.

    From the Little Mermaid to Dumbo, from the Lion King to Pinocchio, the result seems to fully reflect it Gothic style by Burton. Who knows if the director will like that from Disney, just eighteen, he had escaped:

    It was torture, I had to draw all the scenes with the cute winking critters. I just couldn't.
