Banksy, the most famous street artist in the world, returns to surprise with the creation of a gloomy and dark amusement park

Dismaland it's the opposite of Disneyland. Dismaland is the intended disaster of a amusement park alternative, it is a derelict fairytale castle, a windmill that is anything but fascinating. It is no coincidence that "dismal" in English means "gloomy" and Dismaland is a completely dark place that really exists and will open its doors tomorrow 22 August.

The architect of all this? He couldn't not be Banksy, the most famous and mysterious street artist in the United Kingdom, who has seen fit to put on a real one parody of well-known Disney theme parks - complete with a disfigured Little Mermaid - which for the next five weeks will occupy a former bathhouse on the Weston-super-mare beach, south west of England.

Among skeletons aboard a bumper car, carriages of overturned princesses, there are many installations designed for the occasion also by more than 50 artists tra cui Damien Hirst, Jenny Holzer e Jimmy Cauty.

A full of traditional funfair attractions, but all retouched with a backdrop satirical, with a fire pit to burn Jeffrey Archer's novels, a pond with a boat full of asylum seekers, an anarchist camp-school where they are taught how to get into bus signs to change schedules.

In the moat around the castle, then, is an armored riot vehicle built to serve in Northern Ireland, which is now a slide for children. And what about the crashed pumpkin carriage, with Cinderella and the dead horses, while paparazzi take pictures? And here is the souvenir photo in front of the carnage. There is no lack of an animalist touch, with the installation of the whale that jumps out of the toilet in a circle that is narrower than its body.
