After a swim in the pool, if you don't protect yourself properly, your hair can turn green, especially if it is blond or dyed. It is not chlorine that causes this unpleasant aesthetic inconvenience, but i chemical products dissolved in water, especially copper.

  • Lemon juice or vinegar: among the do-it-yourself remedies we recommend that you use household products that you will surely have in your pantry, we are talking about lemon juice or white wine vinegar. How do they work? These products being acidic dissolve the copper and make the green disappear from the hair. Just apply them on wet hair or mix them with a little water to pour all over your hair.
  • Tomato juice and ketchup: another 100% natural solution is to apply tomato juice or ketchup. These two acidic ingredients eliminate the copper from the hair and, most importantly, the lycopene, responsible for the red pigmentation, eliminates the green color. To use them, we advise you to create a mixture with the conditioner, to be applied all over the hair and left to act for at least 10 minutes; after this pack, rinse thoroughly and proceed with normal washing.
  • Lightening shampoo and professional products: if you do not want to resort to home remedies, then proceed with professional products. Just use a specific lightening shampoo for the pool, which works by lifting the metals that have penetrated into the cuticles.
