A few days ago, the mayors of all the capital municipalities of Lombardy, the president of Anci, Mauro Guerra, the majority and opposition group leaders and the governor Attilio Fontana, who had requested a curfew from the Government and the Minister of Health Speranza the stop of all activities and travel has been planned, with the exception of 'exceptional' cases (reasons of health, work and proven necessity), in the whole of Lombardy from 23pm to 5am.

What changes from 22 October to 13 November

Firstly, as announced, travel will be prohibited from 23pm to 5am starting from 22 October. Furthermore, secondary schools will do "full distance learning".

There are two ordinances. The first, signed by the Minister of Health, Roberto Speranza, in agreement with the President of the Region, Attilio Fontana, in agreement with the mayors of the provincial capitals and the metropolitan city, provides for the limitation to travel from 23.00 pm to 5.00. Unless proven work needs or situations of necessity or urgency or health:

"In order to counter and contain the spread of the COVID-19 virus, on the entire territory of the Lombardy Region, from 23.00 pm to 5.00 am the following day, only travel motivated by proven work needs or situations of necessity or urgency are allowed or for health reasons; in any case, it is allowed to return to one's home, residence or residence ".

The second includes further restrictive measures including limitations on the opening of large retail outlets and shopping centers on weekends, measures to prevent crowding within food and beverage outlets and retail outlets and the ban for carrying out community fairs and festivals:

“On Saturday and Sunday, the closure of the large sales structures as well as of the retail businesses present in the shopping centers is arranged. The provision referred to in the previous period does not apply to the sale of foodstuffs, as well as to pharmacies and parapharmacies and other product categories. "

In addition, secondary schools must carry out their activities from 26 October in order to ensure the full development of distance learning.
