Don't store avocado like this: it's dangerous

The well-known sign of supermarkets in the storm after the maxi-seizure in Lazio of food that has expired for years would be UniCoop Tirreno, however unrelated to the facts.

They had expired not for a few weeks, not a few months, but even years. Yet, the foods were sold in the refrigerated and frozen counters of various supermarkets in Lazio. To uncover Pandora's box, the body of the NAS Carabinieri of Rome, together with the Carabinieri of the Provincial Command of Rome and the Police of Tivoli, who seized tons of food, including meat and fish products.

The Nas have communicated the results of the operation, without however specifying which supermarkets were at the center of the blitz. The maxi search, as we were able to find out from certain sources, took place in a warehouse and in six points of sale linked to the well-known supermarket chain Coop, which, however, we reiterate, has nothing to do with the story.

Food that has expired for years and is in a bad state of conservation

The maxi search took place in a warehouse and in six points of sale affiliated with the well-known supermarket chain, all attributable to a 63-year-old entrepreneur, now under investigation for the crimes of fraud in the trade of harmful food substances and in poor condition. I'm well you're in total tons of food seized by the police.

In the various shops (which at the moment have not been disclosed by the police), scattered between Tivoli, Rome and Latina, many of the foods that had expired for years had already been put on sale: among these alsoand meat, fish, cured meats, dairy products and sausages. A real danger to the health of poor customers, unaware of the fraud. And several products were also totally untraceable. An entire warehouse with two cold rooms and three freezers was also impounded.

Apparently, therefore, the points of sale in question belonged to Unicoop Tirreno, which had sold them to the 63-year-old entrepreneur for rehabilitation. The latter has seen fit, however, to jeopardize the health of consumers in the name of profit.
