Niscemi 2012
Just this year in Niscemi, Sicily, a Christmas tree was made entirely out of plastic bottles. The tree was placed in Piazza Vittorio Emanuele III, complete with a red carpet at the base, to enhance its beauty, which is impossible not to notice, given that the Christmas tree reaches a height of 7 meters and required the employment of 1750 bottles, mounted on a metal structure.

Paris 2009
In 2009 in Paris it was decided to take care of respect for the environment in the construction of four of the city's Christmas trees. So the French capital three years ago was embellished by the presence of four Christmas fir trees made using recycled plastic bottles. Each tree was illuminated with LED lights. The project for the creation of Christmas trees in recycled plastic is the merit of the designer Fabrice Peltier.

Lithuania 2011
In 2011, for the third consecutive year, the city of Kaunas, Lithuania, decided to rely on the artist Jolanta Šmidtienė for your own Christmas decorations. It came to life in this way a Christmas tree 13 meters high, born thanks to the recovery of 40 thousand green plastic bottles. The tree was made to show that everyone can be able to make something magnificent from discarded objects and rubbish.
Sidney 2009
In the city of Sidney, Australia, on the occasion of Christmas 2009, an imposing building was created Christmas tree consisting of plastic bottles green and blue. The blue bottles were able to give the tree an additional decorative aspect. For the creation of the tree, 18 thousand recycled plastic bottles of different sizes were used. The tree had been placed in the area of the city called The Rocks.
Cornwall
In Cornwall (Great Britain) it was realized through the initiative Eden project, a Christmas tree made entirely of recycled materials, which involved the use of numerous plastic bottles previously used as containers for milk and more 22 thousand recycled plastic bags.

WWF recycled Christmas tree
On the occasion of Christmas 2011, WWF presented in France, inspired by the projects for Christmas trees made using plastic bottles in the Parisian metropolis, a kit for the construction of a recycled Christmas tree, which actually appears to us rather expensive, but which can easily be imitated at no cost by recovering used plastic bottles and cardboard boxes that are no longer needed.
Eco Christmas tree from Bulgaria
Starting with one ssimple plastic bottle, from a recovery support such as an old tip for the decoration of the top of the fir and using a pair of scissors, it is possible to create in a few minutes a Christmas tree of reduced dimensions, suitable to be placed on a piece of furniture or on the desk . You will also need to use scotch tape and carefully cut out the needles of your fir tree from the rectangular portions you will get from the plastic bottle; proceed following the images.
Christmas tree from the decoration of a bottle
Here is an idea that requires the use of a single recycled plastic bottle, preferably of 2 liters and green in color. The bottle can be decorated as if it were a Christmas tree, applying different types of decorations on it with glue, such as colored ribbons, sequins and pom-poms, but also buttons or hair bands. It's a fun project that can be made in the company of children.
