"Captain Fantastic", the new film by Matt Ross, of which we are media partners, catapults us into a parallel reality
A child who has always lived in the woods and then does not know, once he is inside, the rules of an urban reality. A "live green”Aimed at infinity and inserted in every corner of daily life, which can bring in many disappointments and face very complicated events. Is it really worth it? The answer is yes. For our children a thousand times yes.
It's the clear and round message that comes from a new film - "Captain Fantastic" by Matt Ross, of which we are media partners - which catapults into a parallel reality and makes us think of only one thing: very often we choose well-being and consumerism for the love of our children, but we are really sure that we are making the right choice for them?
And if we tried to choose the other path, the one that is certainly less comfortable, made up of simple things and rural games, without technology and without the dictates that we all want the same? If we tried, in short, once and for all, to impart the lesson - concrete and constant - of respect for the environment and others?
Well, the lead father of this film, played by Viggo Mortensen, he had made it: he had created a world apart among the forests of North America, with the aim of protect their children from everything the world is made of today. And therefore, in many respects, depriving them of things they never even imagined.
When, in fact, a tragedy strikes the family, the father and six children are forced to leave that paradise to go to that notorious outside world which is called "city" and which will question everything they had learned up to that moment. And then the question arises automatically: Is that the best father in the world or the worst?
Is what she does for her children sheer madness or is it to be commended?
We wish we all had such courage. To start a family away from this polluted and dirty ugliness and to give our children the abc of the essentials. Too much? Those in the film are certainly embarrassed and embarrassed by the new who "welcomes" them, they are unprepared for the outside world and they don't even know Coke.
Such a thing, most likely, in real life would not even be possible. But give them a good dose of education in respect for nature is important and in some ways really essential, as well as making them live more closely with what is beautiful and green around.
Because interacting with nature has its benefits, and here are some supported by many scientific studies:
- direct contact with nature can offer a "therapeutic" support to all, even to children suffering from hyperactivity
- nature is a "fuel for the soul", so the best way to recover our energy is to reconnect with nature
- the influence of contact with nature promotes behavioral maturity of the youngest, making them less aggressive
- at the end smartphone and tablet, in nature, children follow their instincts and their childhood, learning to grow through play and the outdoors
- and then, direct consequence of their intimate relationship with nature, it will make them for sure more attentive and more sensitive adults.
In short, based on our possibilities and the place where we live it doesn't take long to teach our children to respect and love the Planet, thanks also to our good example. Even if we live in a gray city and it seems impossible for us to move, remember to let the little ones spend as much time outdoors, let them interact with other living beings, even get away a few kilometers to reach that countryside that they will surely like.
