Charlize Theron she is not only a star of cinema and fashion, but she has always been a great lover of animals, ever since she was little. The South African-born actress and model has a wonderful family, consisting of two girls and four dogs, all rescued from shelters. For Charlize Theron, pets should never be bought.
"Adoption is the only way to go," wrote the diva in a recently published Instagram post, where she invites everyone to adopt cats and dogs.

A known fact about me: As a child I grew up on a farm in rural South Africa, my only friends were animals. - Writes the actress on her Instagram channel, followed by 6,7 million people - I'm not kidding, my best friend was my goat Bok. When I moved to the United States, it became clear that I couldn't move my goat to a New York apartment, but dogs were everywhere I looked. And I haven't been without it since. Best Friends Animal Society is ALWAYS the first place I go when I need a new furry heart in my life. If you ask me, adopting pets is the only way to go. This fall, animal shelters across the country are overloaded, putting scores of homeless cats and dogs at risk. If I could save them all, I would (trust me), but everyone's commitment is required.
The Best Friends Animal Society, to which the actress turned, runs the largest pet sanctuary in the United States. But overcrowding in kennels and catteries isn't just about America. Even in our country the shelters for dogs and cats are full of furry animals waiting to be welcomed into a new home. And, as also reiterated by Charlize Theron, adopting is undoubtedly the best path to take (and fills the heart)!
