How to properly wash cauliflower
First of all, the hardest part of the stem and the leaves must be eliminated. The real cauliflower is then divided in half and cut into small pieces, so as to be able to eliminate any damaged parts and even wash the innermost and hidden areas.
At this point, a basin or sink must be filled with 3 cups of water and one of vinegar, or with 2 liters of water and a teaspoon of salt. Leave the cauliflower to soak for at least 10 minutes but it would be recommended to get to 20.
Then rinse with cold water and, if you have the possibility, use the special vegetable brush to gently and thoroughly clean the cauliflower.
Now all that remains is to cook it, but remember that cauliflower can also be eaten raw. To keep most of the nutritional properties of raw vegetables intact, choose steam cooking.
