I KlimaHaus Awards 2010, an event that sees the delivery of the coveted Oscar of energy efficiency made in Bolzano for the most sustainable homes, this year has reached four buildings built outside the Autonomous Province of South Tyrol.
Il gold cube, symbol of the quality certification of the Autonomous Province of Bolzano, has been assigned to six buildings including houses, hotels and Liberty villas. A recognition, now in its fifth year, which is increasingly gaining ground on the national territory.
Michl Laimer and Norbert Lantschner, respectively Provincial Councilor for the Environment and Energy and Director of the CasaClima Agency, personally delivered the cubes to the six winners.
A nice A+ per CasaClima Zilio in the province of Vicenza, a passive building which, according to the jury, happily combines low energy consumption with low environmental impact. The building is characterized by a construction system in wooden panels designed to meet the needs of comfort and healthiness of the clients who, in this case, coincide with the same designers.
The orientation of the building is decisive, the thermal insulation of the opaque envelope with wood fiber panels and the thermal insulating windows able to guarantee the right shade in the hot summer months.
No fossil fuel for heating, and therefore CO2 emissions below 3 kg / m²a. The house has an energy requirement for heating of 3124 kWh / a.
Il Apartments Lake Mountain in San Cassiano, in Alta Badia, it obtains the A for its ability to reconcile economic development, sustainable development and quality of life. A great way to do sustainable and quality tourism by combining ecological construction and design.
The building's insulation and orientation are very accurate, combined with large thermal insulating windows to ensure maximum lighting throughout the day. Also in this case, solar energy plays a decisive role in the energy saving of the building which, during the heating period, requires 104120 kWh / a.
Excellent example of housing renovation for Tibolla House, a single-family residence from the 70s awarded with the letter A for the cubature bonus which favors the protection of the territory by encouraging the family congregation combined with energy recovery. The energy required by the building is largely produced by the photovoltaic modules and thermal solar panels integrated into the housing structure. The energy consumption in the heating period is 6479 kWh / a.
New life to the Art Nouveau building Corti House which has obtained the B + certification. The building has not changed in appearance even though it meets the energy needs required by the KlimaHaus certification. Insulation played a decisive role, significantly reducing the heat requirement for heating which, from 280 kWh / m²a, went up to 38 kWh / m²a.
La home at Km zero which won the 2010 golden cube with B + certification is located in the province of Udine and is called Giacometti House. Note of merit, the short chain or a construction made with timber and local companies. Raw materials from Val Pesarina, PEFC certified, cut and polished by local workers. The territorial origin of the wood has significantly affected the reduction in the consumption of fossil fuels, reducing CO2 emissions by 18,5%.
The heat consumption of the building does not exceed 7.222 kWh / a.
The special prize of the 2010 edition went toimpresa “Wolf House” for high energy efficiency houses built in Abruzzo in the earthquake areas. Short deadlines, low costs, anti-seismic safety with high living comfort and low energy consumption convinced the jury.
