    From the blog Oh Happy Day here is a rather simple idea to put into practice, initially designed for Halloween but easily adaptable to Carnival. It's about creating the snail shell simply by rolling up the correct way wrapping paper. The same material will be used to shape the snail's antennae.

    To make the snail carnival costume you will need them:

    • Wrapping paper
    • Scotch carta
    • circlet
    • Hot glue
    • Colored ribbons
    • Polystyrene balls

    1) Shape the snail shell con the wrapping paper. Wrap it around itself starting from one corner until you reach the opposite one. Then start rolling the wrapping paper to form first the inner and then the outer part of the snail's shell. When you have obtained a shell of the desired shape and size, you can fix the wrapping paper with the hot glue.

    2) Make a second shell of the same size as the first. You will have to join together with the hot glue the inner side of the two shells. On the part to be placed on the back fix a square cardboard to which you will have to add some sling created with colored ribbon.

    3) Finally you will have to think about the circlet and at antennas. Cover a plastic headband with yellow colored tape, the same type you chose for the suspenders. Roll up two rectangles of wrapping paper to form the antennae. If necessary, use some wire so that they remain straight. Yellow colored two styrofoam balls and fix them on the top of the antennas with hot glue. You just have to glue the antennas to the headband.
