    Many people use the coffee as an effective weapon against fatigue and loss of attention during study or work. Sometimes, however, you overdo it and the pleasure of a good coffee becomes a real one caffeine addiction, often underestimated as the experts say.





    The alarm comes from a comparative analysis, conducted by Laura Julian dell 'American University di Washington who wanted to analyze previous research on the topic and then published the results in the Journal of Caffeine Research. According to the researcher, drinking too much coffee every day can lead to the appearance of real ones withdrawal symptoms and also toinability to reduce caffeine consumption, therefore to suffer from what has been called Caffeine Use Disorder, a real addiction!

    The fact is that people often don't notice they have this problem and they do not try to reduce the consumption of coffee even in delicate moments such as that of pregnancy or when real disorders such as cardiovascular problems appear. And, according to the studies analyzed, 50% of people who regularly drink coffee have this addiction.

    Dr. Juliano explained the situation as follows: “The negative effects of caffeine are not often recognized as such because it is a socially acceptable and widely consumed drug that is well integrated into our habits and routines. But while many people can consume caffeine without harm, for some this substance can produce negative effects, physical dependence, interfere with daily functioning and cause withdrawal symptoms ".

    Here are some concrete tips that come from the experts: healthy adults should limit themselves to consuming no more than 400mg per day of caffeine. The situation is different for pregnant women, who should not exceed 200 mg per day, and for those suffering from anxiety, insomnia, cardiovascular problems, high pressure they should limit their consumption even more.
