Cities are colored thanks to the extraordinary murals of Mantra, the artist who pays homage to nature with its bright colors. From France to Austria and even to Colombia, here is how gray corners of urban areas become chromatic graffiti of butterflies that look real.
Cities are colored thanks to the extraordinary murals of Mantra, the artist who pays homage to nature with its bright colors. From France to Austria and even to Colombia, here is how gray corners of urban areas become chromatic graffiti of butterflies that look real.
One of the reasons that Mantra often reproduces are butterflies, beautiful insects that in recent years have been disappearing due to pollution. The artist represents them in all its forms and they are so similar to reality that it seems that at any moment, they are ready to take flight.
On the occasion of the Asalto Festival 2017 which takes place every year in Zaragoza in Spain, Mantra showed some of his works. At the center there is always love for nature, for butterflies and for books. Flying butterflies, multicolored or that lie magati on a woman's shoulder as if they were tattoos.
Still drawn on women's blouses or placed in a corner to explore. Mantra, who creates his masterpieces freehand, also had a special mention in Street Art United States, a very important initiative in the field of street art.
From an early age, the artist loved nature, so much so that owls, foxes, butterflies, reptiles and insects in general became in their own small way like his superheroes. For this reason, what he paints he tries to take them back in their most singular forms.
