La budwig cream, made known by the doctor Kousmine in the context of a natural diet created by her (Kousmine method), it is now well-known as one of the most complete breakfasts from a nutritional point of view. As we will see shortly, in fact, it is an excellent combination of ingredients that together can provide our body with everything it needs especially early in the morning to face the day with a good dose of energy.

Prepare this cream is very quick and easy, but it is important that all ingredients are used fresh and ground at the moment to better maintain the properties. It is therefore not recommended to prepare larger quantities of Budwig cream and then store it in the refrigerator for the days to come.


2 teaspoons of oil seeds (pumpkin, sunflower, walnuts, almonds, hazelnuts, etc.)

2 teaspoons of linseed oil (or one and a half teaspoons of flax seeds)

1 tbsp Whole grains (raw and freshly ground)

2 spoons of yogurt or ricotta cheese (alternatively tofu for vegans)

½ lemon (juice)

1 (or half) ripe banana or teaspoon of honey

1 seasonal fruit (or a mix of different fruits, about 100 grams)

Keep in mind that the quantities may vary slightly depending on the person's constitution and appetite.


To prepare this cream it is necessary to have a grinder or a more modern one suitable mixer to grind seeds also very resistant like those of linen. With this tool you need to finely grind oilseeds and whole grains (it is better to avoid wheat which can be allergenic by using oats, rice, barley or buckwheat instead). The other ingredients can be blended separately (fruit can also be added in pieces later) until a homogeneous cream is obtained. At this point, everything is combined and eaten immediately in order to obtain, as already mentioned, the maximum benefits from this preparation which can be accompanied for example by a good cup of green tea.

The biggest benefit that Budwig cream offers is undoubtedly the fact that it is nutritionally complete. In this combination of ingredients we find everything our body needs to function at its best: omega 3 and 6 (in oilseeds and linseed oil), protein (ricotta, yogurt o tofu), mineral salts and fibers (banana and other fruit), slow release carbohydrates (whole grains) e Vitamins (lemon juice and fruit).

Anyone who has experienced this breakfast knows that one of the great advantages it offers is the fact that you can satiate abundantly throughout the morning, thus allowing you to arrive at lunchtime without having a drop in energy.

You just have to try. If you are not used to having a large breakfast, start with a smaller quantity to accustom your digestive system to work well even in the early morning.
