Bronzing powder: how to use it

Bronzer is perfect for giving a beautiful complexion to the skin of the face, but it is important know how to apply it in order to avoid the unsightly mask effect.

Here are all the steps.

Moisturize your face

The first step for a perfect make-up is moisturize the skin of the face; therefore, before the makeup dedicated to the skincare and cleanse the skin with a mild soap, then proceed with the refreshing tonic and as a last step apply your favorite cream suitable for your skin type.

Opacify

After skincare, your face will be hydrated, but a little oily. At this point, first you need to tan dulling all with the powder compact. To apply it all over the face, help with a brush and dab the powder both on the cheeks and on the T-zone.

Apply the earth

At this point it is time for the bronzer, or if you use the foundation spread a veil on your face and then proceed with the bronzer suitable for your complexion. This goes on the forehead, cheekbones, chin and cheeks, in order to recreate the effect of sun-kissed skin.

Here are all the steps:

  • pick up some of the earth with a clean brush, eliminating the excesses
  • use a medium or large brush, the important thing is that it has a rounded tip
  • apply the bronzer in circular movements starting from the forehead, nose, chin and cheekbones. Also spread a veil on the neck to avoid a too sharp and decisive detachment.

For a natural effect we advise you not to apply the earth all over the face, because in addition to the mask risk you will get a flat effect, free of shadows and nuances. (Read also: Cosmetics: the list of toxic substances to print and always carry with you)

What is it for and how to choose it

The bronzer is used to give a complexion similar to a tan, not only in summer but also in winter. A cosmetic that can replace the blush, used only on the cheeks, or with which to perform the technique of outline.

There are two types on the market, which are distinguished by texture and formulation:

  • Bronzer mat: it is the most used, has a matte finish, offers good coverage and a more tanned effect than shimmer, and is the one suitable for contouring.
  • Bronzer shimmer: contains tiny glitter for a sheer, pearly finish.

La best choice depends on your skin type. The shimmer earth is not recommended in the case of oily skin or mature skin, because the pearly finish does nothing but accentuate any defects and imperfections; while the matt effect earth is not recommended in case of dry skin, but more suitable for oily and combination skin as it absorbs excess sebum.

Choosing the right bronzer also depends on the complexion color; the basic rule is that it must be a darker shade than your complexion. No lighter or the same, otherwise the desired tanning effect is not created; therefore, in the case of a light complexion it is advisable to opt for a land tending to honey color, those with olive skin must opt for amber shades, While the nuance bronze they are perfect for those with dark skin.
