It was developed and built as a interdisciplinary approach, born from the cooperation of experts in forests, carpentry, joinery, media design, printing and books “. Ever since this free library has been made in 2008, the residents of the neighborhood, invited to leave a book they loved or take one in the carved trunk, seem to have really appreciated the idea judging by the huge number of people browsing through the books left inside.
Located in the district of Prenzlauer Berg, "Ortsteil" of Berlin belonging to the district of Pankow, in front of a café, the Book Forest it can hold up to 100 volumes at a time, with books of all kinds ranging from novels to history books, through to children's stories, both in German and English.
