How to make DIY seed bombs

First of all, the ideal is use local seeds to avoid disturbing the ecological balance with plants unsuitable for the territory. Better also give preference to seeds of plants that are not very demanding to treat e varieties that attract bees, bumblebees and butterflies

Then you need to get:

  • topsoil;
  • clay powder;
  • water.

The earth is sifted, mixed with the seeds and clay dust. Proceed by adding a few drops of water, mixing the mixture well. 

At this point, balls are formed and left to dry for at least 3 days. 

Once ready, Seed Bombs can be stored for up to 2 years, but the more time passes, the more the germination capacity decreases. 

Which plants are suitable

Some plants are more suitable than others for the practice of Seed Bombs, here is a list: 

  • Poppy;
  • Sunflower;
  • Wild carrot;
  • Lavender;
  • Chamomile;
  • Campanula;
  • Nasturzio;
  • Cornflower;
  • Calendula;
  • Wild flower blends.
