Cotton is the most used raw material in the production of textile fibers of vegetable origin. The word cotton is immediately associated with the concept of naturalness but, if it is not certified organic cotton, this combination should not be taken too much for granted. The traditional cultivation of cotton requires a huge use of pesticides in order to ensure the production level required by the international textile industry and at the same time is accompanied by the spread of genetically modified plants.

What many do not know about the spread of biotechnology in agriculture is that the use of GMO crops how cotton helps to hit the already precarious environmental balance of the Indian regions that see the most massive presence, putting the survival of millions of people at risk.

What are the serious consequences of GMO cotton cultivation in India? I am first of all theimpoverishment of agricultural land, until their sterility, the multiplication of new parasites not opposed by GMO seeds and the unexplained death of pets which lose their lives after grazing among the residues of genetically modified cotton. Faced with such tragedies, a real turnaround would be necessary. The hope is that what is shown through the film will open the eyes of all who would potentially be able to remedy to a problem full of serious social and environmental implications.
