Better to avoid the elastic band
In general, the fabrics of the elastic bands tend to be warmer than those of the rigid bands, so it is better to use the latter especially when it is very hot.
What are the best fabrics for the summer?
If you have bands of different fabrics available, during the summer months it is better to use those in linen blend or hemp blend. Also excellent 100% cotton with a low weight.
Do not enter the water with the band
Whether it's sea or swimming pool, entering the water with babies in a sling is dangerous. If you are hot and are looking for refreshment for you and the little one, look for another solution.
No to multilayer bindings
Multiple layers of overlapping fabric increase the feeling of warmth. This is why for the summer it is better to opt for the so-called multilayer bindings. The Enveloping Cross (FWCC), the Kangaroo and the simple backpack can do for us.
Long live the ring!
For short trips, walks on the beach and in the park, we highly recommend the ring, both because it covers mother and baby with a single layer of fabric and because it is very quick to tie. The ring should be used, however, not earlier than 5-6 months, when the little ones have control of the head and trunk.

Avoid hot hours
If it's not strictly necessary, it's better avoid going out during the hottest hours of the day. This rule is generally fine for children but even more so if worn in a sling or baby carrier.
Check the baby's temperature often
There is no need for thermometers, mothers and fathers who are carriers know how to understand if the child is particularly hot by just touching it. If you notice that the babies are overheated, stop, move away from the sling for a few minutes and let them drink (or feed them).
Linen cloth between baby and mom
