A three-week-old baby elephant was rescued by a group of forest rangers in northeastern India.

The little boy was stuck in a mud pit not far from Udmari village in Nagaon district. His mother tried to save him, unfortunately without success.

Fortunately, the news reached Binod Dudu Bora, who immediately organized the rescue together with a group of local rangers. The baby was in very bad condition: in addition to being trapped, he also had a wounded paw.

The elephant, after being loaded into the car and wrapped in a blanket, was taken to the Center for Wildlife Rehabilitation and Conservation in Kaziranga, where it received all necessary care.
