Also this year at Pitti Woman 2010, AmazonLife, a brand we had the pleasure of meeting in Do the Right Thing 2010, presented for the spring summer 2011 its new collection of eco-sustainable bags all made with totally natural prime material and recycled (especially rubber e organic cotton) from the forests of the Amazon basin, thus contributing once again to the survival of local tribal cultures and communities.
With the new lines of eco-bags presented in Florence, increasingly avant-garde and obviously very trendy, AmazonLife therefore continues its strong commitment to the protection and safeguarding of the environment. But let's see them in detail:
The soft bags of the line are all in cotton In the Jungle, I am covered with military nets. Inside but clearly visible through the network is the brand “AmazonLife – Approved by Mother Nature” reminiscent of the traditional Brazilian coffee bags: a feature that makes them special and unique at the same time. Each edging and finishing is strictly in rubber.
In organic cotton line AmazoneLove, with seven different models all characterized by the print that recalls a glimpse of the Amazon rainforest. Also for this collection the finishes and borders are all in rubber, with a bow closure inspired by the blankets of tribal populations or with a wooden button.
The peculiarity of the line Color Tank, backpacks and shoulder bags is instead hand embroidery of an arrow, which recalls the weapon used by the natives still today to hunt and that AmazonLife has transformed in this case into a decorative element. Here, too, handles, trims and edges in rubber.
And the same patch-arrow is found in the line new rubber tapper with 4 models made of organic cotton color tortora/leg and dyed with water colors to create an original degradé effect.
For the line Rioflower, again in organic cotton, this time the colors are very strong recalling those of the forests: yellow, green, red. A flower that inspires the vegetation of the collection has been hand embroidered on each bag in the collection Amazon rainforest.
While the collection New Guerrilla is the new version of the one presented for the PE collection in collaboration with Braccialini, all produced with recycled military fabrics from shirts discharged from the army then in the variant of green-indigo and turquoise colors.
Even more original is the collection Stripes of which handbags, shoulder bags and sacks were produced rrecycling the cots for sleeping submarines military, therefore with blue / ecru vertical stripes. The shoulder straps and handles are made of natural rubber or braided nautical cord.
For the line Ethnic this time AmazonLife thought about using trousers and shirts in "stone washed" jeans. The shapes are obviously very soft with hand-worked ethnic motifs and in contrasting colors.
