Artist decorates his house for 30 years making it wonderful, but when he puts it up for sale nobody wants to buy it: it is too colorful.

It took 30 years to decorate every single corner of this wonderful cottage, a life-sized dollhouse, as author Mary Rose Young called it, located in the countryside of Lydney, Gloucestershire in England.

But who is Mary Rose? A very eccentric style artist who, in 2014, he decided to sell his property to move elsewhere.

He had bought it in 1987 for just £ 30.000, fully customizing it over time and hoped to be able to resell it, as suggested by real estate agents, for at least £ 250.000. Too bad that, after seeing it, no buyer was interested.

The only way to sell it was to repaint it in more muted colors, but Mary Rose did not accept the compromise. She was unwilling to destroy years and years of valuable work to please the buyers.

Instead of breaking down, he decided to give up his dream of moving elsewhere and make the property even more personal by turning the courtyard into a bright pink paint studio.

The decorations of the house are inspired by the artist's ceramics, also sold online on his official website, and some pieces of furniture are made of ceramic, such as the fabulous chandelier in the living room or the handmade tiles in the bathroom.

Speaking of the house, the artist said:

“It should make you feel like a kid walking into a candy store. I want people to feel that adults can have a lot of fun too. "

But after all, the house had better remained in his hands, a new less “colorful” owner could have destroyed it and we would no longer be able to enjoy so much wonder!
