Art teaches our children to release their emotions. All the benefits

Art is of fundamental importance in the growth of children and in the discovery of their emotions

THEmodern art is of paramount importance in the growth of children and the discovery of their emotions. In fact i children they are naturally inclined to art and creativity as an expression of feelings. Unfortunately in compulsory school, beyond some exceptions, art becomes a secondary subject and in some cases it is even absent.

Eliminating artistic expression from children's lives means denying them the opportunity to discover or express a talent. Let's think about how much importance the school normally gives to subjects such as mathematics and science and how unfortunately they are artistic subjects more often than not they are given little consideration.

Thus children tend to stimulate the activities of theleft hemisphere of the brain - linked to logic and rationality - to the detriment ofright hemisphere, which instead supports our creativity and intuition. In an ideal world, the two hemispheres of the brain should operate in a balanced way. Art and creativity therefore deserve to have an important place in school.

And when that doesn't happen? There are now alternatives outside of school which can favor artistic expression, such as painting and drawing courses or real ones creative workshops. Schools that follow the Steiner method or the Montessori method, as well as other schools that follow “unconventional” teaching methods give great importance to creativity and art for the growth of children.

During the day children who, for example, love to color or draw, should have them available the necessary time to freely engage in these activities, even simply at home. When the school does not intervene from this point of view, parents can make available to children i materials necessary for artistic expression and make sure that they have them at hand so that they use them when they feel the desire or the need.
