Art from waste: the sculptures full of emotions by Dario Tironi

Art from waste: the sculptures full of emotions by Dario Tironi

Art can be born from waste. And the waste, some of which is often unusable, can come back to life, transforming itself into works that are beautiful to see. This is what Dario Tironi must have thought, the artist from Bergamo who gave life to a set of sculptures made using entirely waste objects

The waste can give rise tomodern art. E i waste, some often unusable, can come back to life by transforming themselves into expressive works that are beautiful to look at. Like the sculptures of Dario Tironi, an artist from Bergamo who has conquered international fame with his original creations made using entirely rubbish, old toys destined for the landfill and waste items.

And that's how the old Barbie, broken calculators, plastic bottles, golf balls and cables have become something else, taking on the guise of life-size humans and animals. A feast for the eyes the sculptures of Tironi, which has already participated in numerous exhibitions and has won several awards also at an international level, including the "IV Fabbri Award for Art 2011" and the "Arte Laguna Prize 2009".

The following images are part of the collection Crash Toys, shown below. Here, Coca Cola cans, doll legs, cigarette packets and much more assembled together manage to convey much more than they appear. The human figures created by Tironi are very expressive and their faces really seem to convey emotions. The artist places the accent precisely on the details of the face.

Bodies made from waste, also technological. As if to remember that pollution is increasingly going beyond physical limits and how a virus is infiltrating more and more into our lives, depicting the precariousness.

Nothing cold, far from it. The sculptures also depict scenes of everyday life, as shown in the images above, where you can see a familiar picture with a cradle, or the child playing with the gecko.
