A moment of attention though: it is about robots. Little wonders of robotics may replace real bees in the future for save agriculture and humanity?
Going back to the present day, the situation of the bees is really high risk. Pollinating insects have been affected by a progressive for years death, caused by diseases, parasites, toxic pesticides such as i neonicotinoids, disappearance of natural habitats and lack of nourishment represented by nectar of flowers.
It is a set of factors that we can no longer underestimate, especially because the role of bees, with particular reference to pollination, it is essential for agriculture. Many fruits and vegetables could not develop without the intervention of bees and pollinating insects. The consequences for the environment, for our food, for agriculture and for the economy are evident. So why don't the authorities take action right away with drastic measures for the defense of bees?
In the not too distant future we could witness theextinction of bees. To pollinate the fields it might be sensible to resort to some robot bees? The Robobees, in a still imaginary scenario, could represent the extreme solution to the disappearance of bees proposed by the agrochemical industries.
We hope the advent of the robot bees is just science fiction, but Robobees, Greenpeace video documentary dedicated to the topic, it helps us to open our eyes to the future of agriculture and food in the face of the progressive decline of bees. The agrochemical companies producing the pesticides in the video become the promoters of the robot bees initiative.
To avert the disappearance of bees, the time has come renew agriculture, which must necessarily become organic, natural and sustainable, to respect pollinating insects and the biodiversity. Precisely for this reason, the Save the Bees campaign is still in progress, thanks to which you can write to the Minister of Agriculture Martina to ask for the ban of the killer pesticides.
